From the BOTTOM of our hearts, thank you!

Exactly a week ago we lost our beautiful first baby and we have been devastated ever since. It was a sudden goodbye, and the emergency vet suggested gateway would be taking care of the cremation. A day later after doing some research on how our sweet girl would be laid to rest we decided to do the private cremation. We picked her urn and had it all quickly arranged. The following Monday gateway returned my call and answered all the questions I had with patients and advised when our girl was cremated and the next steps that would be taken. The response gateway gave us was filled with sympathy and reassurance and they took this process into their hands to take care of quickly, so that all we did was grieve our baby girl and not have to worry about a thing. A week to the day, our sweet girl is home and we feel that we received the closure we needed. I could not thank gateway enough for taking care of our family in this hard moment.

Thank you so much

I got the chance to love my adopted ferret for only a year. Losing Dengar has broken my heart. I got to pick up his ashes today and I'm still crying but I'm so happy he's back home. The urn is beautiful and I love his little paw print. Thank you so much for everything.

Thank you

Thank you. We recently lost our two year old boy and were absolutely devastated. We were wary sending him to be cremated, worrying about if we would for sure get our boy back or perhaps someone else's ashes. Our Vet's office assured us that you are an amazing facility and after going home and looking at your site, we felt completely at ease and glad we had chosen to go ahead with the cremation. We received our sweet boy back today - we had chosen the complimentary cedar urn as we had purchased a different one that would also hold a photo of him. We were not expecting the cedar box to have his name engraved on it, and I will admit that I teared up when I saw it. That was such a special touch and we really appreciate it. He is now in the urn that we purchased and we are using the beautiful box engraved with his name to hold some keepsakes of his - his baby blanket, a favourite toy, a letter I wrote to him, etc... Thank you for being so careful, thoughtful and sensitive. It's so comforting to know that there are people who will treat your loved one with so much love and care during such a difficult time.

Above and beyond

Our volunteer run aviary cares for many parrots who have ended up finding their forever home with our flock. We have used Gateway’s services for birds that touched our hearts along the way. Most recently we lost our beloved Catalina Macaw, Dwight, suddenly and many volunteers were devastated. We requested a footprint after his post mortem for a volunteer that adored him and was caring for him for years. When we found out that a footprint was impossible due to the post mortem, we were very sad and tried to accept the news. Dana went above and beyond our expectations and got Dwight cremated and put his remains in the most beautiful wooden box engraved with his name and his image of him. It was so touching and when we presented it to Scott he was speechless. This has certainly helped with his grieving. It is incredible that the staff at gateway treat you with such kindness after the loss of a loved one.

COMPASSIONATE

Had the custom painted urn done. Love it so much. The marking and strips of Dusk match the urn beautifully.

Thank you, Gateway

I recently lost my fur baby that would have been 18 yrs. old in June 2020. My Vet's office that I have dealt with all 4 of my fur babies assured me Gateway is a great facility. Molly girl was my first fur baby to be cremated and sent back to me. My Vet's gave me a booklet to pick out what urn for Molly's final resting place. I picked the custom painted and engraved ceramic angel cat. My Vet's office handled everything, including sending pictures so it could be painted to look like Molly. I was so upset with the decision I had to make on Thursday, after thinking about it I wanted Molly Girl engraved on it instead of just Molly. I also wanted her ceramic paw print done. It was the Saturday after so I did not phone until Monday to see if it was too late to do. They were great to deal with. He told me it was not too late, but would be longer coming back because of the custom painting to look like her 5 to 6 weeks. My vet's phoned yesterday and she was back home 5 weeks today. I went right away. When I got home I teared up when I opened it. They were beautiful. The urn looked so much like my girl. The paw print that came in a faux leather case also had a place to put a picture on the outside of it. So I put a picture of me holding her. I could also take the paw print out of the box and stand it up. No words to say how much I love them both. Loved the way everything was packaged. There was a sympathy card that acted the Certificate Of Cremation. The only thing is I thought I could open the urn but couldn't. Just for positive feed back it should state in your book and website that it is sealed. I was touched on how much the urn looked like Molly. She was alway there (18 yrs) for me when I was going through bad times. She is and will be so missed. Again thank you to everyone at Gateway for taking good care of Molly in her last phase of her journey. Best regards, Kathy
