In Loving Memory of Xanthe
After 18 wonderful years, we said goodbye to our beautiful Xanthe, whose gentle soul and loving heart left an unforgettable mark on everyone who knew her.
Affectionately known as "Girl," Xanthe shared her home and life with her feline companion, Tiger—our "Boy." The two were inseparable, and those simple nicknames became part of the love and laughter that filled our home.
Xanthe had the softest fur, the kindest and most understanding personality, and never had a mean bone in her body. She brought comfort simply by being near, always offering quiet companionship and unconditional love.
She loved retrieving little crumpled balls of paper, turning the simplest game into a treasured memory. One of her sweetest habits was flopping onto her back and proudly showing off her tummy in her signature "dab" position, always making us smile.
Though our hearts are broken, we are deeply grateful for the 18 years of love, laughter, and companionship she gave us. Xanthe was more than a pet—she was family, a loyal friend, and a gentle light in our lives.
We take comfort in believing that at the Rainbow Bridge, Xanthe has been reunited with our beloved Izzy and Kiki. We like to imagine the three of them together again, healthy, happy, and forever at peace, waiting patiently until the day we meet again.
Back here at home, Boy is learning what it means to miss his best friend. The house feels quieter without Girl, and we know he is trying to understand why she is no longer by his side. She leaves behind not only a family who adored her, but a devoted companion who loved her too.
Run free, sweet Girl. Chase all the paper balls your heart desires, stretch out in the warm sunshine, and know that you will always be deeply loved. Your paw prints have been forever imprinted on our hearts, and your memory will live on in every quiet moment, every smile, and every cherished story we share.
