William
2002 - 2016
Our dog William passed away last night; he was 14. I will always remember picking him up at the breeder -- we knew he was the dog for us because he escaped the pen and ran away. Given that Margie, our other dog, was a genius at escaping crates, barns, what have you, we thought they'd be good friends, and they were.
William had a million toys to play with but his favourite thing to do was attack Margie with his sharp little teeth. Most of his puppy pictures feature him gnawing on Margie's velvety-soft face and ears while she lies down and takes it. William the pup was a complete jerk: when not biting Margie he was tearing up fresh sod, or run-peeing throughout the carpeted areas of our house. He mellowed out, suffered through camping trips and long days alone while we were at work. This Easter was good to him as he enjoyed surreptitious access to the 'ham cooler'. Until he got stuck. Rest In Peace William of Frito-and-mushrooms scent, delicate stomach, and 4-poop walks. You were the friendliest dog anyone could hope to meet.
