Tai

"I am in tears while carrying you to your last resting place as much as I rejoiced when bringing you home in my own hands ...years ago"
Tai from the first time we met you as a tiny puppy on the slopes of Mt. St. Helens, you brought joy to our lives.
You were loving with family and friends but sometimes reserved with strangers - cautious to take treats from them (unless they were offering sushi-grade tuna). You loved your backyard, stuffed animals, many sleeping spots, walks, and your humans. You were an enigma, stubborn yet eager to please, enjoying a long hike or a nap on the couch equally.
A hike with Jane and Zoe, and time basking in the sun atop the hot tub, followed by a rousing game of Fris-dog, and a shift of guarding the barbecue made Tai's perfect day.
During Covid, our long Princess Park walks, greeting human and dog friends, were the highlight of our days. And you at our sides for endless petting were the comfort of our evenings. Thank you for so many wonderful years. Rest in peace, Tai. Inside and out, you were a beautiful dog. And you still are.
