Remi
2009 - 2025
It’s been one year today, September 19th, 10:39pm since you suddenly left me, & the pain of losing you has not gotten any less.
Some of my tears have turned into laughter when I talk about you. Talk about your no nonsense, boss bitch attitude.
You were far from your stereotypical breed.
You loved everyone, especially strangers.
You loved all other dogs you met. You didn’t really bark, only unless Chloe got you going, or you saw another dog on TV. You LOVED watching TV.
You loved your car rides, & even your vet appointments. You were a social butterfly. You NEVER shivered when you were scared, & you didn’t even have any fear of thunder, lightning or fireworks.
I miss seeing your little head poking out of any blanket you could burrow yourself under. I’m sorry if I didn’t see you under there when I sat on you….lol!
Not one day goes by where I don’t think about you. We have all managed to laugh about the crazy things you did, but it hasn’t taken away my pain.
We are reminded every time we make a salad, & there’s no one there begging for a piece of carrot, or the clanging of that tuna can w/some leftover tuna in it.
It’s these crazy, little simple things when we are reminded you are no longer here.
I’m sure over time my pain will get a little easier, but it’s just not today. I hope you were on that rainbow bridge ready to greet Chloe & to help her find her peace, & to introduce her to all your new friends.
I love you to the moon & back my li’l bemmers. Till we meet again💔
