Piper

2020 - 2026

Our sweet girl, only five years old, yet somehow a lifetime of love wrapped in one small, beautiful soul.
Piper had the gentlest heart. She loved in a way that felt effortless and pure — with her whole body, her whole spirit. She was joy in motion, comfort in quiet moments, and a steady, warm presence in the middle of everyday life. The house feels different without the sound of her paws, the way she’d look up with those knowing eyes, or the simple comfort of her being near.
One of Piper’s greatest gifts was the way she loved her little rescue sister. When fear and uncertainty lingered, Piper showed her what safety felt like. She taught her how to trust, how to play, how to rest without worry. She showed her that hands can be gentle, that hearts can be safe, and that love can be constant. Because of Piper, her little sister learned how to love again. That is a legacy that will live on every single day.
Though her time here was far too short, her impact was immeasurable. Five years of loyalty. Five years of devotion. Five years of unconditional love that asked for nothing in return except to be near her people.
Now she has joined her big brother Monte in heaven — reunited, running free, whole and happy together again. We picture them side by side, tails wagging, no pain, no goodbye — just endless fields and endless love.
Piper, you were a blessing. You were a teacher. You were family.
Thank you for every cuddle, every kiss, every quiet comfort.
You will always be missed, always be loved, and never, ever be forgotten.
Run free, sweet girl. 💛
