Newton

2021

Our beautiful rescue boy Newton. We enjoyed almost 5 years of his love and loyalty. He was from the start a little fireball of energy, probably why he was surrendered, but he was the perfect companion for your then 6 year year old dobie Dexter. His Tasmanian devil spins every morning left us laughing until he tripped us up in his enthusiasm to see us and go out to the backyard to chase away the squirrels.
Newtie Boots was diagnosed with liver disease in October 2019 and we did everything within ours and his specialists power to keep him healthy and vibrant.
Sadly this past Friday the disease became too much for our little man to handle and we knew Monday May 10th that it was time to release him of the pain that was starting to take over.
To say he made an impression on us that will never be forgotten is an understatement. We have loved each of our fur babies but Newton oh my Newtie boots you were one in a million.
He was my heart dog, my shadow, my companion, never not by my side, (even waiting outside the bathroom door), working from home due to covid he was my office mate and seeing his now empty bed is heart wrenching but at the same time I can't remove it.
Love you Newtie, I wish you had been free of disease and had lived another 10 years with us, but we cherish the years we had, you filled those years with much love and life and you will always be in our hearts.
