Murphy Kells

2009 - 2012

Our sweet Murphy had to leave us. He was only THREE years old. He was a Maine Coon and he had the kindest disposition. We were even able to train him to do tricks. His best was when I would call out "BABIES!! which meant that I was giving out cat treats. all six would come running into the kitchen. Murphy though would go straight to the small stool and jump up onto it, he did this every time. Then, I would have the treat in my hand and i would tap his head to get his attention and then I could drop it about 6 inches from his mouth and almost every time he was able to catch it in his mouth. I just wanted to share that story as it one that I will NEVER forget.
Sadly, he became very ill and lost over half his weight, he was always 11 pounds but within three weeks he had lost 6.5 pounds. He hardly ate anything for a few treats here and there. Many other symptoms started showing up and it turned out that he had FIP, which there is no cure for. His quality of life was very poor so on September 6th 2012 which is also my husbands and my wedding anniversary We had the vet come to the house to put him down.
Now we will be taking him to Gateway on Monday Sept. 10th to be cremated.
We miss him so very much.
God gave him his wings and had him come home to be by His side. I know that one day we will be reunited.
