Jersey

2002 - 2015

Jersey was a sweet natured and expressively beautiful Border Collie who came to live with our family when she was 3. Her early years were unhappy and we vowed to make the rest of her life wonderful, but that was the gift she brought to us. She bonded very well with our family & after my husband's death became my constant companion. In her 10th year, my toddler granddaughter came to live with me & Jersey was rejuvenated! She had another job to do & became the best Nanna in the world to my little one, who is now struggling with the absence of her beloved pet. Jersey was highly intelligent, exceptionally trainable adn very devoted to us. She was a superb watch dog, always "on duty". After struggling with congestive heart disease for over a year, she went peacefully to her well-deserved rest on November 2. Without a doubt, she was the best dog I have ever had, and I will always cherish her memory. We were blessed to have her in our lives & our home is empty without her. May the arms of St. Francis enfold her forever in his loving care. We love you, Jersey. <3
