Cosmo
2003 - 2014
Twelve years ago today, we drove over and picked up our best friend, Black Cosmopolitan Scar, CDX,RN,CGN "Cosmo". A black puff ball of exuberance and character. Our joy and excitement overshadowed our anxieties of dog ownership. Cosmo was an instant star, a leader and a follower, competitive, and companionate. He always felt a sense of purpose and security with his tough, but gentle approach. We were there for him and we knew he was there for us. When his brother came along a few years later, he played the role of big brother through leadership and trust. A friendship that lasted almost 10 years. Diagnosed with cancer at the age of seven, Cosmo was given three to six months back in April 2010. After frantic research with time and the odds stacked against us, eastern herbal medicine and modern western medicine extended his life for an additional four plus wonderful years. No invasive surgery required to accomplish that feat. We cannot thank the Doctors who cared for Cosmo enough as they gave us a gift that we can never replay, through they professionalism and dedication we extended the life of our boy. The memories will last a lifetime, the sorrow forever but we know that one day we will play fetch again. We can never replace what we had, nor will we try. He was unique in so many ways. Laid to rest December 15th 2014, short of his twelfth birthday. Our friend, our family companion lives on in our memories and spirit. We will join you one day so until then we only ask that you wait for us by the gates as you have waited for us before. You are and will always be forever remembered.
January 18th 2003 - December 15th 2014 Live on forever buddy.
