Cody Benson

"Tribute to Cody":
Cody the sheltie was a very special boy. I first saw Cody’s photo and profile on the Rosie Animal Adoption website one summer day in 2014. After reading his bio, I knew he had to come home with me. At age eleven, he needed and deserved a wonderful forever home. Having had a sheltie previously, I was enamoured with the breed and knew they were kind, gentle souls.
I had moved back to London, Ontario (from Montreal) a year earlier, but distance didn’t stop me. I headed eastward with my father in tow, to get Cody from his loving foster parents and bring him back with me over the Labour Day weekend – August 31, 2014 to be exact! Cody was an excellent traveller and curious as to where he was going.
After settling into his new surroundings, Cody became a favourite in the neighbourhood. Everyone knew and adored him. He truly had a legion of fans – human and canine! Not only was he the most handsome dog, but one of the sweetest and friendliest as well.
I was with Cody pretty much all the time until a sudden illness took his life on October 16, 2015. I am so grateful for the 13 ½ months Cody and I shared. I only wish we could have had more time together. I have wonderful memories, photos and videos which I will cherish always. Cody will forever be in my heart.
I love you so very much, Cody.
Hugs, kisses and “Cody Cuddles”,
Mommy
