Bobby

2013 - 2025

The cat that was meant to be. It was after attending my childhood (Linda) friend's funeral, that I prayed for her to send some kind of message if she was OK; that is when I saw a young kitten sitting under the shade of a tree surrounded by marigold flowers.
Little did our family know that two weeks later, this same black cat with some tiny white markings would walk into our garage, and make himself at home. Due to having a med-size Lab, it was decided to set-up a cat-man cave until the kitten was seen by our vet. Again, this fellow was meant to be with us after the passing of our Lindsay dog the following month. It was this little kitten that sat with me while I mourned our dog. Shortly after a vet visit, entered the kitten from the garage into his new home.
A name had to be selected rather just calling out garage cat. So, hence, garage cat was now Bobby.
He took over the home and our hearts.
Sadly, almost eleven years later, our vet and nurse discovered a hard lump, cancer and though it was a difficult decision knowing that the only step for his suffering to end was to say a goodbye to this wonderful feline. His dedicated vet and nurse made the visit to our home to end his pain. Bobby was so brave enduring this hidden pain for so long while still showing his love. While pet owners know it is the right decision, it does not feel right at the time nor does it end the feeling of loss to the pet family. Goodbye my little man, and thanks for all the times you helped me with some difficult times. There must be a place in Heaven for all animals.
