Bella
2009 - 2025
WHEN WE FIRST GOT BELLA, SHE HAD a collar that said "Bad to the Bone" which was interesting because she was not bad at all. She was shy and quiet and very obedient. Many times when I was younger, I would try to get her to come upstairs but she knew she wasn't allowed up there and never followed me. The few times she did, she would tip-toe so at to not get the carpet dirty. She was also very smart, even at her old ages. I taught her how to roll over which she learnt very fast at the age of 9. but she'd only do it on grass. She loved smelling cars, probably because she loved going on road trips to grandpas house although she would get carsick every time. as she got older, she would bark like crazy at other dogs during walks, but besides that she was a good dog. She never barked a lot in the house, never destroyed any furniture, never jumped on counters to steal food and she never really begged while we ate dinner. When we went to the shelter that day, we came to see another dog, small and white. While we were looking, we heard a bark. It was from Bella. She just barked once and after that, she rarely did. She lived a wonderful 15 years and spent a lovely 12 with us. I'm glad she caught our attention that day. Rest in peace to a truly good dog.
