Athena

2013 - 2026

From the moment you came out the shelter kennel to the visiting room with EXCITEMENT and sass we instantly knew we wanted to take you home. It was love at first sight. They say if you adopt a dog, you are rescuing them, Not to be cliche but you saved us. You have given us so much humour and joy over the years. 12 years is just not enough time together, thank you for all the memories and laughter. You were the best dog ever. One of a kind.

GOODBYE my sweet girl. We will always love you and hold the invisible leash that connects us from here to over the rainbow bridge.

Today we honor one of the sweetest, sassiest little souls I've ever had the privilege of walking. She was equal parts sugar and spice, sometimes more spice, if we're being honest. Such a big personality. She ran her walks with absolute confidence. If she didn't like the route? We knew. If she wanted to stop and judge someone? We did. If she wanted treats? She demanded it.
She had that sassy little strut that said, "I'm in charge here," and we were all just lucky to be in her presence.
And let's not forget she was Stephen's first love. His original heartbreak. His queen. Honestly, no one else ever stood a chance.

Being trusted to walk her, love her, and be part of her world was such a gift. I'll miss her sweet cuddles, her fierce little spirit, and the joy she brought to every single day.

Run free, beautiful girl. You were so deeply loved.
