Scooby

2010 - 2023

Let me give you Scooby life story. my grandson Colin was 4years old at the time. he was sitting out front with me looking for frogs. what every 4year old boy likes to do. when the couple from around the corner came walking across the street. they took daily walks together but what this morning different was they were being followed by a little dog. a little tiny puppy. this couple [mostly the HUSBAND] did not want this dog followning them. WELL, my grandson took one look at this pup and yelled puppy! come here puppy. the old man was so happy that someone was calling the dog away. he isn't ours he is just following us. he yelled. we instantly fell in love. can we keep him GRANDMA, please! I don't know colin grandpa is up at the store lets wait till he comes home and we can ask him what he thinks, remember we already have two dogs buddy and Molly.

Grandpa reaction when returning from the store was something i will never forget. what do you have there. you didn't tell me that i needed to bring home puppy food. upon telling grandpa the story we all decided to keep the puppy. as he went back up to the STORE, he saw a flyer with a picture of another lost puppy. looking just like our puppy. we came to find that someone had dumped off the mother and her puppies.
SO, what are we going to name this little man. the first name that came to my mind was Scooby. You see that year in the month of july i had lost my mother. I hate to say lost for she is not lost she is in heaven with Jesus for she is found and is waiting there for me and all of us to join HER bUT she loved Scoobydoo the cartoon. it made her very happy to watch. she also loved beagles and small dogs. for scooby was both. SO, the name stuck. we bought him to my dad to meet and he said if your mother was HERE, she would be in love with him. the name is perfect. he loved scooby too. january of that year my dad also passed to be with my mother.
For the next 13 years he has been our loyal, best buddy, he has been there for the loss of our other pets, my MOTHER-IN-LAW who came here to live with us. he has watched colin grow up to become a wonderful man. get his first job. and most of all love the lord. Scooby was not just a DOG; NO, he was much much more he was everything you could want them to be never got angry. he as you see has been dealing with cancer for the past year and has had trouble breathing at times and has not gotten snappy with anyone. he may say to Colin don't pick my up. but come on LET'S play. OH, how he loved people he would always jump up to see everyone. he was always a happy puppy. at night he would carry his football around till he would find the right place to put it down to bed. this is my baby. and funny thing when we would have toys the dogs would always take away his toys FOR, he was the little one. don't take that from him let him play too we would always say. but they never bother him when he would be walking around with that football. they kind of knew that is his special toy. Rest now my little one mommy and daddy love you always my heart is so very broken for YOU. Scooby dobby doo where are YOU? im here mommy Im in heaven waiting for you!
