Louis

2004 - 2018

On January 15, 2018 we lost a member of our family and a big piece of our heart. Our home will never be the same. Our boy Louis heart was not well for some time. We tried everything we could. We nearly lost him over the holidays, he fought hard, we had a few good days, but he let us know the evening before and morning of his passing that he was ready to join his sweet sister Ella in heaven.

Louis has given us over 13 years of joy, unconditional love, and we are truly going to miss him. Louis was my first little dog and I knew he was mine the moment I saw him. My heart is broken and I will miss his happy dance when I come home, him letting me know when it was time to go to bed, him claiming his comfy spot whether on our bed or the couch, our walks where he rarely left my side, and most of all, him laying on my lap on warm summer evenings outside. Louis like me, loved summer. No one knew how to chillax more than Lou. He loved his bunny and his chicken toy. He showed patience with every new pet we introduced. Monty and Tiki could sense that they were losing their big brother, they are as sad as we are, and are missing him every minute too.

My heart is broken but I am grateful that I was able to hold my Louis in my arms most of his last day and in his final moments. It was the hardest thing to let my boy go but we could not bare to see him suffer. You will forever be in our hearts and memories Lou. Louis, you have no idea how much you have meant to this family. We love you and will cherish the memories for the rest of our lives. Till we meet again ❤️????

I would like to thank Louis best buddy Edith Trussler for her friendship, love, and care. We are so grateful to you Edith for taking care of our fur babies when we are away like they are your own. You have been there for us and for our fur babies always, and at a moments notice. Thank you for helping me get through the loss of Ella, and now Louis. You are our dog whisperer. You truly have the biggest heart. Louis always danced and perked up when he saw you. You know how much he loved you, and we love you too. You are truly one of the best friends and caregivers a human and a pup could have.

Thank you to Michelle and the entire team at Northumberland Veterinary Services for your kind and compassionate care. Michelle, you had a special bond with our Lou and you gave him a fighting chance. We are forever grateful.
