Eddie

2008 - 2021

It’s with heavy hearts we announce the passing of the goodest boy, Eddie. Born just outside Halifax, Eddie was 6 months old when his mom seen his adoption online and it was love at first sight. From that moment on, the two remained inseparable - he was in need of a home, but his mom was also in need of him. Eddie lived in Nova Scotia until spring of 2012 when he and his family drove to their new home in Calgary AB.

Eddie’s life evolved with his mom’s, from being a young mischievous university pup, to an easy going companion, to finally a quiet and calm presence during family moments. His favourite activities included snuggling on the couch, eating, and finding the sunniest spot to catch some rays. Over the years, Eddie has been part of many monumental family moments providing laughs when needed and snuggles in somber moments. From love to loss, he took his job as a companion very seriously.

Eddie lived life as dogs do, in the moment; and we are happy to say he continued that way until the end. He spent his last days snuggling with family on the couch, eating all sorts of different snacks, and indulging in anything he wanted, and he was able to peacefully fall asleep held by mom and dad. Eddie leaves behind his loving mom and dad Jenny and Mike, his human brother Alex and fur sister Winnie. He also leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, grandparents etc who will all surely miss him.
Eddie has been cremated and will stay with mom and dad where he felt the happiest. In his memory we have chosen to make a donation to AARCs and have made a promise to continue to do so in his honour, and encourage all of those he has touched to do the same.

❤️ 🐶 Love Always Pagetti

The world would be a nicer place if everyone had the ability to love as unconditionally as a dog
